Recclesia Stained Glass has been appointed to provide stained glass consultancy services to the project design team working on the transformation of Rochdale Town Hall, one of the UK's finest town hall buildings. Between the grand staircases and great hall, this magnificent building is home to one of the most outstanding collections of Victorian stained glass in the world.
Working alongside conservation architects Donald Insall Associates, conservators from Recclesia will catalogue and survey the stained glass to produce a condition schedule. This will be used by the design team to prioritise the nature and extent of the conservation work required prior to the project receiving grant funding.
Recclesia stained glass have provided consultancy and survey services for numerous projects at planning and grant application stage, equiping the project design team with the information they need to understand and budget for the conservation requirements of their stained glass.
