Members of our team welcomed Architect and TV presenter George Clark to the Chester studio to discuss our work on one of his projects for Channel 4's Old House New Home series.
In Channel 4's Old House New Home series George Clarke matches some of Britain's most unloved houses with some of the country's leading designers and craftsmen, who join cutting-edge conception to a tight budget, proving that great design doesn't have to cost the earth.
As part of the upcoming series, our specialist stained glass team were asked to develop some of George's ideas and create several bespoke windows for one of the projects. Working closely with George and the client we developed a series of designs to best fit the space and compliment exisitng windows in the house. George then came to the studio to see how the team went about producting the windows and even had a go himself!
Our lead conservator and glass artist Kat Walton went through all the processes with him, exuding her passion and knowledge, but most importantly making sure George worked to our exacting standards - and we must admit he wasn't bad - so we consider him an honorary Recclesia Stained Glass craftsman!
The show will be aired on July 18th 2019!
